I did some tone mapping on this and added a Nik Color-Efex filter. I also added a slight Orton effect. Original image taken from James Shadle"s Hooptie Deux with the 100-400mm lens. This was FF and I added some canvas to the top, just a tiny bit. I tried to remove a shadow line from the underwing. All of the filters added a lot of noise but I still liked it for the theme.

Excellent. I wouldn't worry about noise, I hardly see it anyway and sometimes it just fits in a graphic image sense. I recognize the Color Efex filter used, and it just so happens I've been playing around with it too. I'm not sure about the tone mapping-- is this part of CS5? Great image to start with, and you made it better. regards~Bill

    Thanks folks I appreciate it.
Bill, For this one I used Photomatix Pro but I really like with tone mapping in CS5. I only used a slight amount. I love the Nik filter line up. Lots of fun to play with.:)

    Nice image and application, Denise.

Nice bg and flight capture. Might give a little more contrast if it were mine ... but ... ;)

Might make a neat "miniworld" as well ... Hint ... Hint!!! ;) :D

    You asked for it! ;)

    Denise,
Very interesting effect. IMO the subtle change the filter caused adds a dreamy feel while not look unrealistic.
You did a wonderful job on the shadow transition.

IMO if the left wing was not intersecting the GB head it would be an even stronger image.

Very nice Denise. This boy looks like he just flew out of a Maxfield Parrish painting! Lovely!!

Really like the colors, comp and efx on this one. Nice story as well. Very pleasing to look at.
