Lovely detail in the tail and wing feathers, Chris. Doesn't bother me that it has flown a bit past you as the angles of the tail, wings and beak look OK. May be tempted to try and clean up the beak if you are comfortable with that. Maybe a little more room in front of the bird for it to move into

Nice one Chris ,I particularly like the fanned tail. I think you'll find this is a Crested Tern in non-breeding plumage

Thanks mate, I agonized over this in "Slater's" and in comparison with images of other Terns taken at the time I chose this.I think you'll find this is a Crested Tern in non-breeding plumage
However as an "learning" Ornithological" photographer I am always happy to be corrected.:)

Fine detail appears to be lacking and white is hot. How much of a crop was this?
KK 100% crop and I should probably have bumped the shutter speed up further, and yes flying obliquely into the sun.
