    I like the positioning of the bird in relation to the grasses and the light looks decent enough but having the light from behind the bird has caused problems with EXP and shadows... Try to get in position so that your shadow points at sunlit subjects. Having the wings full up or in the downstroke should be your goal when photographing birds in flight from the side.

    Yep, just the sun angle letting this one down I think. Colours, composition, detail etc all look great to me.
