    Considering the lighting, this is beautifully shot, nice and sharp.

    Fantastic Jan!!! A couple of dust spots and a bit of cloning evident near the perch but otherwise very sharp and great pose and action captured. Looks like you had to recover a fair few shadows but its been done well. Nicely lit for what looks like a fairly high sun angle (judging by the shadow on the eyeball).

    Great timing, and I love the eye (even with the shadow on it). As mentioned, post-processing evidence at bottom of perch, and I find the subject tight in the frame...but otherwise a beautiful image.

    Making this image in the perfect soft light allowed you to create an image with fabulous detail in all tones. What went on behind the perch on the lower frame edge?
