    .. but it does seem to have prey in its' mouth!!
    Pied K's are difficult owing to the contrast between their black and white feathers; you have managed this OK.

    Yes, you did get the exposure right and your timing was impeccable...but as a whole the image doesn't look like a fully "finished" product. Comp needs strengthening, and lots of CW rotation. Prey is a bonus, but rather small in the frame for strong impact. Still, KF are notorioulsy difficult to approach and photograph (except for Stu Bowie's awesome KF location), so kudos to getting something like this on "film".

    A sharp image captured at the peak of the action. Can we see the full frame original image?

    Off course Arthur I am happy for your interest!
    The file is only converted by Camera Raw from Raw to Jpeg , changed profile from RGB to Srg, bit from 16 to 8, and reduced to post

    Thanks Givoa, I like the less BLACK BLACKs in the ORIG as the image in Pane 1 is too contrasty...

    What I was suggested was less contrasty. Sharper is good :)
