Egret Survival During Florida Winter of 2009-10

He’s back for a new theme. Having been here before, he brought new images of that record cold night before I shot the photo that was previously shown.

As some of you snowbirds know, Florida experienced its coldest winter on record and since then its hottest summer. Hopefully things will be normal now that we've sent both on their way.

Starting from the previous original Flipped image with DAP Aquarell, the modifications in CS4 included, Cooling Filter, Warming Filter (to clean up the white areas), Hue & Saturation, Vibrance & Saturation and other normal PS image adjustment filters. It was purposely oversharpened to give a crystal effect to the blue BG areas.

Mark, I think you have succeeded in making this look cold. It also made me chuckle. Nice colors and the tight comp. works well. The two top corners have a squared off faint gray edge that I might evict if it were mine. Nice work.:)
