Hi folks. Just signed-up. I'm out in Colorado. Retired last year after a 27 year gig as a photojournalist and videographer with the state's largest school district. Now I'm robbing banks so I can enjoy my new hobby of bird photography. I've learned a lot, but have a long ways to go. You can look at some of my pics on my blog, BirdsbyBill.
One thing I've noticed the past two years since starting bird photography is how early in the summer most of the songbirds leave. It's just astounding. By late July there isn't much to go shoot anymore. Have to wait for the winter ducks to come in.
Or...you can find out what waits for you in the world of macro! There's always something to shoot there. ;) And I would imagine you have some decent landscape opportunities ahead of you as well. Welcome to BPN, Bill! We look forward to seeing your images!
