Nice work getting the eyes sharp, Gary! Love the greens in the background and those lovely blue/green eyes. I think I might have composed this a bit different to get the cormorant off-center..maybe with the bird head a bit farther toward the upper-right to compliment the look that he is giving toward the lower-left. Keep watching for the breeding plumage to improve on these guys!
Good looking bird and fine bg !!! This image screams vertical !!!! Need to fill frame to make the them work best You did focus on the eye (must) The head feathers look a little washed out?
We should be having lots of chances with these birds in the next few weeks !!!!
