    Hi guys

    Been horribly busy lately, but had a great trip to the Kgalagadi in September. This image was created at a waterhole where the sandgrouse come down in hordes...

    Unbelievable inflight shot! Everything looks right - great light angle, great pose, great focus and great background - you couldn't really ask for more. I really like the "pigeon-toed" feet and the warm earthy colours.

    Was this a pre-focussed take-off shot?

    Superb. Sandgrouse are speedy flyers and most people would be waiting for the bird to land before clicking. The wear on the primary feathers emphasises the detail in the image. And those feet!
