Mital, Thanks for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

I find that DAP is a learn as you go program. The best way to find out if it is for your image, and I find it is not for all images, is to give it a try with different effects. I have gotten to like the Aquarell watercolor due to the edging it gives the image. But the settings are critical to get what you want for your visions. I like to start with extreme wet and some expressive settings, versus all realism. I also use the full range of brushes, rather than the default and select the pallet colors that work for me.

Personally, I have not found extended strokes to be that significant for my images. I like to go with the default and stop it and then work in PS to enhance the image, contrast, brightness, etc. as needed.

Give it a try and see what you get, given your realistic birds, I'm not sure if is what you want, but you won't know unless you see. ;)

I too wish there was an easy tutorial on it, as I have gotten to like it for some visions.

I hope the above gave you some help. I know there are others here much better with it than I am. Maybe they can chime in and we can both learn from their comments.

    Good luck!

I like it but would like it even more without the thicker of the two borders. It seems to need a substantial CCW rotation. I love the colors and the water color look.

Hi Mark, you know I love the watercolor look and this is a nice example. I like the paper texture look and moody feel. I think that I would prefer either your large mat or the white border of the image, but not both. Nice job.

Artie, the shot is a perspective shot, shot looking up the shoreline from the boat. While the shoreline could be adjusted, it would not be consistent with the scene. But appreciate your comment, yes I agree that it could be changed about 1.5 degrees CCW if desired.

I understand your point Mark, but I am only buying about 50% of it at most.

Mark, I think if it were mine I would give it a rotation since the entire scene is not presented -on this portion. I do like the way this one came out and I like the border.
Mital, One thing that I do when working with the DAP program is to work with a layer mask so you can selectively adjust the filtering. Mark gives some good suggestions as well.

Paul, he is down at Hanauma Bay, resting in his little grass shack by the beach. At least he was the last time we saw him!! ;) :D :D
