    Went out with my friend Maxis on Sunday evening to get some shots of Sandhill Cranes, learning how to use beemer.

    I am not a member of the HAP so to speak but do wish his head was angled towards you a couple degrees. Background seems noisy and would run some NR on it. I do like the attentive look in his eye. You also could have probably increased you flash output as the overall feel I get is he lacks any pop.

    Sharp. Perfect EXP. Sweet pink BKGR; is it the sky? For me this could use a big crop from the bottom. The head angle is a fraction short of good.

    Wonderful portrait of this handsome bird! I too love the BG, that wash-out pink is quite relaxing for me...and makes the bird pop. Very well executed.
