    I like the mood you captured here, good use of the backlighting. Some may suggest going darker on the subject and perch (trying such a version wouldn't hurt), but this is appealing as is. Interesting leaning pose - and vertical was the way to go.

    I like the backlighting, but some fill light on the front to me would make it even better

    Ditto; I like the rim lighting but the bird is way too dark for me: flash at zero....

    I was envisioning this the opposite way... subject and perch darker with just a bit of detail visible...but funny thing is that I actually like the original as is too.

    The repost looks better Manos I love the rim lighting as it works well especially since you got great detail on the bird.
