    Look sharp with good details, like how the butterfly is perching on the flower. I might go for more DOF or wish the butterfly flap its wing up so more of the wing will be in the plane of focus.

    Bob- Beautiful Heliconid butterfly with terrific flower perch and background. Colours are lovely. I agree about the DoF and if possible would have tried to get the left wing in focus. As it is, it's a prominent part of the image and I think should be in focus. All in all though, a very nice rendition.

    I really love the bright colors in this shot. Butterflies are very hard to convince to hold still :o

    Bob, I like this from a compositional standpoint - the flowers nicely compliment the space and don't overpower the size of the butterfly.

    It's a bit of an awkward angle and the wing moving didn't help matters any. If you could have lowered your body a bit more and shot more at eye level with the wing totally up or totally down I think you would have ended up with a much stronger image. You did get that face in great detail and sharp as a tack...good for you!
