beautiful image amano. i like that back leg in motion and the angle is just perfect to me. still it may go a bit CCW rotation and cloning out few patches on bottom row on left and right is just needed.

Great low angle. Agree with the slight CCW rotation. It like the mid-stride pose. Maybe could use a little more sharpening for web?

Neat striding pose with that one toe still touching the sand! Great low angle too. Good exposure. I agree with a tiny bit od CCW roatation and removing the spots at bottom. I find the image a bit tight at bottom, and would warm up teh WB too.

    Amano,
great picture from low perspective. Would have been perfect with less sky and a bit more sand at bottom.
    Regards
    Andreas.

For the vastly improved repost :): corrected large blue cast with a 100% Robert O'Toole Average Blur Color Correction. Leveled the image based on the sharply focused line of sand. Beach and BKGR clean-up. Bill clean-up. All details in Digital Basics.

Thanks for all your comments ... after awhile in Photoshop, I have managed to accommodate most of them!

Artie, I rather liked that colour caste ... so have kept some of it.

    Cheers

You are the artist but it is still way too blue for me :) Here is the tale of the tape on the average blur of your repost: R: 120, G: 139, B: 156.

Agreed .. the blue could loose a bit yet the day was sunny and I wanted to capture something of that blue sky and water. Artistic licence but not disregard with what as happening around!

OK Artie ... I have looked closer at the colour caste you mention and after recalibrating my monitor, have worked to remove it from the bird!
See what you mean about the beak too.
Thanks a ton for your interest in my image ...

Cast removed from subject with blues retained in the BG works well - but I do find the colours of the plover on Artie's repost best though. Just be careful of post-processing artefacts when adding canvas (see clone marks at bottom). I'm still getting a kick out of the the plover's toes!!:)

I was hoping that you would see the light (or the cast in this case), but do compare my composition with yours and do note Dan's comments on the obvious clone job. You now have more room below than above while in most cases you should be striving for the opposite :)
