    Default Velvet-purple Coronet (Ecuador)

    It is so hard to pick a favourite hummingbird in Ecuador. But for me these guys are right near the top. When you look at one and then, all of a sudden, the light hits the bird the right way it is just an explosion of purple iridescence. It is enough to make your jaw drop :shock:

    I cant wait to get back there in January for my Hummingbird workshop!!

    Fantastic, iridescence captured perfectly and same goes for wing position and eye contact.:D

    You always amaze me with you images! and this one is no exception. Love the bird and pose. I too would love to go to Ecuador some time soon.
