    1/2000 sec, F10, ISO 1600

    Got this on the same day as the kestrel. I played around with some of the topaz filters on this one. Did I over do it????

    Mike, You captured a nice take off. I do wish the bird were angling toward you but it's still a difficult shot. I think you did well with the details.:)

    Well exposed, great detail under near wing, I like the one foot on, one off pose. Agree with Denise about the angle, and in a perfect world would wish for a more natural perch. Some subtle sharpening halos showing up around the primaries.

    Pity that the bird is taking off away from the camera but exposure and colours look great. Seems a little contrasty to me too.
