    An attempt at producing an intentional blur from the Hooptie Deux as a large flock of crows left their roost in pre-dawn light.

    EOS 1 D MKIII
    70-200 2.8L IS USM at 130mm hand held
    ISO 1250
    f/5.6
    1/10 sec
    evaluative metering at zero

    Any comments, suggestions are appreciated, I have no experience with this technique.

    Joel, I love the layers of colors - they are gorgeous. To me the blur is very pleasing - I might clean up the birds at the top to leave some open space but I'll leave it to the bird blur experts to give you a good critique:)

    Very nice composition, Joel. I am with Cheryl on the layers of colors. For the blur itself, I would have preferred a bit more definition. But I think the landscape and the gorgeous colors of the sky compensate for it.

    Joel, Beautiful colors and the blur effect looks nice to me. I like Cheryl's idea regarding the 2 top birds. I also might evict the one on the right that looks like a spot. Maybe some NR. Very lovely and I do wish it were mine:)

    Joel, I think you did a good job on this. I really like the composition, colors, and blur. The one cloud is a bit problematic, but not too much so. A little noise reduction would be good.
