    Default Spider Vortex

Composite image; a spider that I photographed this week at my house and a lotus leaf section. I used PB oil paint, Topaz Adjust, PB kaleidoscope and a few other Ps filters on the leaf in 2 layers including twirl on the top one with soft light blend. Then I made copies of the spider after using PB oil paint and Topaz Adjust on it and used motion blur on most of them. I added a small shadow to it.

Very nice, Judy. Surely it feels like vortex. I love the effect.

Judy, I like that you made the spider sharp. Beautiful Bg and I think it does have the feel you were after. This is a great idea and I bet if you rotated the spider between the copies you could have even another look. Nice way to think OOTB!:)

Great imaginative image, mix of filters and technique, Judy. Agree, that the sharp top spider rocks!

Thanks Indranil and Steve! Experimenting is fun and I'm learning new techniques as I go along.

Thanks Denise. I should have tried rotating it but my original idea and comp had only 3 of the spiders and I merged it and duped that layer and put it on top of the other 3 covering up the sharp one so you only see 5 and blurred the first 3 more. I'll see what I have saved with layers and if possible I'll see if I can do it because it probably would look better.

Judy, very creative image. I like the faces it created on the body of the spider:)

I re-worked the image. It isn't exactly the same but I like it better.
