40D. 400 f5.6L wide open. iso 640. 1/1600s. high iso as the bird was in shade earlier and swiftly walked into light. ~70% crop....i.e. ~30% of pixels thrown away.

KD, Sweet light, sharp, EXP spot on, and the perfect look-back head turn. Could use some bill and chin clean-up and the grass totally blocking the feet is a negative. Not sure what caused the various white marks on the rear feathers...
