    Hi Lance

This made me laugh...it almost looks like 'the look' that the cartoon character (is it daffy duck?) has when he has been subjected to some mischievous deed. Great capture! Its a nice sharp image, perfectly exposed with a nicely muted background to boot, as I would have expected from you....

    Lance,

Greetings. Ha! Now that's what I call HA! One almost doesn't notice the great detail, color, exposure... the subject is so strong. Good show!

    Cheers,

Oooh...I've gotten that look before! Usually it's a momma bird with babies but this works, too! Gosh that face is priceless, Lance! Nice, tight crop and love how the bird is positioned within the frame.

Hi Desmond - yeh wasn't much happening this day and sort of summed my day up pretty well - just couldn't resist the shot - it was a very quick and deliberate pose :)

I have been trying to get a D3s now for months....How do you like yours? ISO ? Do you miss the 1.5x crop factor much?

Love it Bob - have been using full frame since the D3 came out - so dont miss the crop factor. I can turn the crop factor on in camera if I wish - just reduced file size.
The D3S seems to be much harder to get over there - can pretty much walk into any of the high end stores here and buy one over the counter.
ISO is unbeatbale - shoot at 3200 without a second thought.

Awesome image Lance. The stare is great and really focuses your attention on the eyes and head. Nice exposure and BG, lots of great detail in the bird.

Have to love it. The stone edge which looks little odd or uneven, is that a result from your BG cleaning?
