Sweet animal. Where? Wild? Native? If you go by the eyes, this one needs a bit of CCW rotation. Nice soft light.

Thanks Artie. From a hunting outfitters property in Arcadia, Fl. Native to Europe originally. Considerable numbers are present in North, South America and Australia on private ranches.

Thanks Sid. That's what I thought but I wanted to check and see if it had been taken in India.

    Sid,

I think that grass goes really well with him especially since you got a clear view of the face. I have a similar comment as a previous post of yours; I think the highlights are a bit bright in this image. I would suggest making a selection of the highlights (see second link below) using the channels palette and CRTL-Click on the RGB channel. Back at layers palette on a BG copy, create a mask of the selection. Then change blending mode to multiply (first link below). Adjust opacity to suit. This will help to reduce the highlights while protecting the shadows from getting too dark. I did a repost to demonstrate the affect. Opacity at 100% to make it obvious - just change opacity to suit. Of course if you like the look as is, nothing wrong with that.

    Robert,

Thanks for the repost. Frankly, I prefer my original post with bright highlights. For me grass and fawn are equally important and IMO my original post maintains the balance in between them.

    thanks again for the repost.

No problem with that Sid. :)

5:30 PM I took a look at this on another monitor and it does not look too bright. Must be time to calibrate the one I was working on this morning. :)
