    Default My first Leopard image

I have been doing photography for a year now and finally managed to get my first Leopard sitting on a Rock in the Makutsi River on the Greater Makalali Game Reserve. The light was very low and had to push up the exposure and the ISO to get a decent SS. I put the Leopard on the left as there was loads of empty space on the right and felt it unbalanced the comp.

Nice pose. Too bad that the light was so low and you had to push up the ISO. Thanks for sharing.

Noticed some noise in the BG of my first post...Ran another round of noise reduction and reposted

I would be stoked with this bud, lovely pose and exposure. You did well to push the 7D to high ISO - can handle it. Are you using a Mk4 yet? (thought you bought one?)
it seems to have a slight magenta cast, would just desaturate that channel a tad

Lovely image and repost has addressed concerns. The leopard is posing so well and I love the environment he's in. TFS.

Great looking image for the reasons mentioned. One thing you could have done in the field if possible, move a bit more to get the left paw clear of the OOF bush.

Hi Dumay, I like the colours though think they may be a tiny bit too green now, but wonderful textures and a nice composition. You got good colour and light in the eyes, and did very well at that high iso. I also thought you did well to get it all sharp at such a slow s/speed. The raised position of the leopard also adds a great eye level feel to the shot. Did the leopard prick it's ears up at all during your shoot?
    Well done with this
    Regards
    Grant

If this is your first Leopard shot then I hope you get many more:)

Great handling of difficult conditions, I agree with Grant regarding the repost just a tad too Green.
