    Default Busy Beetle

This is an in camera OOTB. I wanted as little DOF as possible and to only have the tiny beetle's face in focus so had the lens wide open at minimum focus. The beetle is about 1/4" long and I was following it around on a leaf and shooting as it moved from place to place and it finally popped up over the edge of the leaf and a got a few frames off...this is the one I liked.:)

Jim, Nice work! I like the comp. It looks like some kind of texture in the BG. Beautiful colors!

Patience pays off. I like this guys position in the frame, and I agree with Denise about he texture of the BG. Great color and sharp right where it needs to be.

Very nice composition. Like the colors and in-focus beetle face.

Nice buggy portrait! That is one tiny bug. Your patience paid off as it often does. Love the colors. I might use the blur tool on that area under the leaf.
