    Dear All,

It gives me great pleasure to share the results of the Federation Internationale de l'Art Photographique (FIAP)'s 15th Nature Colour Print Biennia world cup that was held at Bangalore between the 10th and 11th of this month, 32 countries had participated in this world cup.

The great news is, India was placed first in the projected images section (projected images section had twenty images from each country and this section where I represented India ) and India had presented the theme " Birds with prey" for this section. Also India won Gold (second place) in the print images section (print images had 10 images from each country), For the prints section India had presented the theme " mammals with prey" .

here is winning image attached. This is Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher.

Our BPN members Kiran Poonacha , Niaranjan Sant were also part of team. Big congrats to them too.

Special Thanks to ODKF and Adesh Shivkar who given me this image. I am in debt to both of them for rest of my life.

    Cheers
    Harshad

A slightly wider aperture might have appreciably softened the background without loosing detail in the bird ... yet this is an excellent image!
    Were you in a hide?
    Congrats

Congrats Harshad, captured beautifully captured, with soft light and vibrant colors.

I might clean up the small gray spot to the right of his rump, but really a fine shot!
