    Here's my version. More contrast in the BG, and also a darker BG. A small saturation boost. A little eye work on the bird on the right. And a small crop off the top.

    I like Doug's repost with the changes he made in the saturation, BG, & the eye work. I prefer the size of the OP. To my neophyte's eyes, I think a fill flash would have brought out detail in the birds.

    BG is the background ?
    About the work at eye what you do ? I tried to givi it more light but non found detail...
    And the last and more important question : what you think about this shoot ? Could be interesting or is not importand spend time....?

    I Prefer the original post too. Tight crop is not justifying the interesting background.

    After looking at the image again, I agree that the original crop with my adjustments looks better.

    Giova--I think the shot is outstanding and think Doug's repost with the higher contrast bg wrecks it. Some contrast on the fg birds would be ok but the bg was just right imo in the original post. This maintains separation between the two regions and puts all attention on the action of the two. Was this some mate feeding??
