    Good comments from Peter. The camera info really helps our critiques.
    There is some noise showing in the background. I might consider toning down the branch as it sweeps above the bird so its brightness doesn't lead the eye out of the frame.

    On my monitor, the face could use a bit more sharpening.

    agree a little noise to remove, selective sharp on face will be easy enough though it looked pretty sharp to me.

    I ran moderate luminance/color reduction in ACR but didnt give it enough.

    Hi reposting

    Got Digital Basics file today - -good stuff thanks A

    so, started from scratch, removed green leaf at base using patch/clone stamp
    burned top branch
    NR on background (inverted selection of bird)
    unsharp mask at end of flow

    what do you think ?

    Hmm thanks

    I have learned a lot today

    I did run NR on the BG in CS5, I used the magic wand to select the bird/invert , then ran NR, looks like I didnt give BG enough.
    no worries will sort but not going to repost again now
