Was looking for a bug photo to texturize for this theme, and this one of a skipper butterfly seemed a likely candidate. I used a number of my textures and various adjustment layers to get the effect I wanted. I also used one of the textures and a color fill layer to create a bit of a vignette.

Nicely done, Christopher. The colors are yummy and although there's texture you can still see a lot of detail in the skipper.

Christopher, You did a really nice job with this. I like the colors and the comp. Beautiful details and the touch of glistening light at the bottom of the BF is awesome!:)

Christopher, your hard work has been rewarded with a very nice image. Keeping the detail while giving a rich texture has given a beautiful end result.

This looks great, Christopher. Colors are good and you chose a great texture! Did you ever post the original in the macro forum? It look like a fantastic skipper shot!

The rough textures of the BG really complement the rough textures of the butterfly, as well as the continuous flow of muted yellow/greens across the image.

Great choice of textures to complement the skipper. The colors are beautiful and as Hilary said, you kept the detail in the skipper which isn't always easy to do.

Christopher, Very nice. The light angle and detail are all complemented with your texture application. Well done!

Super work Christopher! I love the earthy colors and textures and you have just the right amount of sharpness in the butterfly. Very nice.
