    Great pose and light! I would tone down the whites on the perch and wish for more DOF for the tail. Great detail!

    Great pose indeed.

    As mentioned you could tone down the perch a touch. Not quite having the DOF in the tail doesn't bother me at all. You'd probably have to go >f10 to get it and then you'd be hard pressed to have the shutter. I'm not familiar with the species, but I know from experience with small Australian passerines they can be very hard to freeze - you did a good job staying at f8!
