    Tri-Colored Heron hunting minnows in some green pea soup type water at the Viera Wetlands......

    200-400mm F4 Nikkor Lens (380mm focal length)
    ISO 400
    Aperture F5.6
    Shutter 1/2500 sec
    hand held low to the water..........

    Nice timing Eric! Like the low angle. Too bad about the nictitating membrane over the eye. Light looks a little high in the sky, and I would have liked a head turn towards the viewer. A larger version would help us to see what the bird is eating (you can post 1024 pixels wide).

    I looked closer..I don't think it's membrane over the eye but rather the way sun caught the eye...thanks for the input, does make me look twice!

    A perfect critique by Doug but I do agree about the eye. A bit of Eye Doctor work would improve it. You did well in really harsh light but much better to work early or in cloudy bright.
