    Default Hanging by a Thread

This image was taken at Canaveral National Seashore. The spider was hanging from a thread on a web that it strung across the boardwalk. Luckily the web was about 7 feet above the walkway. I'm not much into creepy crawlies, so my portfolio is very limited ... to those that get in the way. This one did.

Modifications in CS4 included; Topaz Denoise 5, Fractalius, Accented Edges, Topaz Detail and other normal PS image adjustments.

    Enjoy!

Mark, I like the colors and the fact that we can still see the "thread". I may have preferred the subject a little more off centered. I think the glow is nice and feel that maybe a thinner glow might look nice also. I do love the framing w/ the addition of the glow outline around the image.:)

Mark, I love the look of the spider and the BG but the thread is giving me trouble. Maybe there's just too much bug geek in me because I feel either the thread should be perfectly vertical or there should be more threads.

If you removed the thread, this might look good flipped vertically.

I DO enjoy, Mark! Neat image and the angled thread makes it more dynamic for me. Sea breeze?????

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

The web was fine and therefore lost in the BG with the various filters. I kept the image large, to show my personal feelings about creapy crawlies! I tried rotations, but this was the best one in my view. 180 flip looked very unnatural with the leg placement. It was more of a grab shot, then a vision. But with the BG effect it has grown on me, well ... obviously not really on me, but ... ;)

Mark, this one really caught my eye. Love the colors and background texture. I would probably paint in some glowing edges on that one last leg.
