    I was trying to photograph coots chasing each other. Taken with Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EOS 400mm F2.8 L IS USM lens with Canon EF 2x II converter. ISO 200, f7.1 at 1/800, EV -1/3.

    Too bad the coots were chasing towards you rather than parallel to you. This way the far coot is more of a distraction than an important element to the image. As for composition I would crop most of the empty space at left and some at bottom. Keep them coming!

    I like the action you captured here with the coots. I agree that a separation of the coots would be more desirable so that you could see the action and eyes of both coots.
