    Hi Guys

The second in a series of shots I managed to capture of a cormorant feeding on a relatively large fish at the local marina, a place my wife and I often walk to for our breakfast...

    Hope you enjoy...

    Don:

Good timing, great sense of action. Difficult exposure with the harsh light and black and white bird. The reflection adds here. A slightly lower shooting angle would be more complimentary, but I suspect you didn't have much time to change your setup for this one!
I might crop in a bit from the left, to increase the size of the bird in the frame, if the IQ will allow.

    Cheers

    Randy

PS: I don't usually get such fun pictures when I am having breakfast!

With the bright, bright light and the whites looking very bright I ran a Linear Burn on them and toned down the blues. And, I tried something new: I reduced Vibrance and that reduced the contrast nicely....

BTW, I do like the image, the reflection, and the fish.

Nice bird, reflection, and splash. I like Artie's repost. Good job handling the harsh light. I do wish for a lower angle.

    Keep them coming!

Thanks for the repost Artie and the comments from all. I do seem to overdo things in PS on a regular basis and I end up with darker & richer colors than most prefer.:( I need to find some 'reality glasses' to wear...

    Regards
