    Default Snowy Egret in Flight

    Hello,

This shot was taken in morning light, 7:24am (EST) @ Mill Creek Marsh, Secaucus, NJ. PP was done with PSE ver. 6.0. I cropped, lightend the overall image, darkend the neck & head some, cloned out some small rocks, then sharpend the bird's body and eye, seperately. Basic run through with Noiseware was also done.

    Hi AL,

I like the pose and the crop too, the sharpness seems good on my laptop, I am wondering if there is a blue color cast or something off about the color because the birds legs look almost green to me and the background blue is so intense.

Hi AL - not ignoring this one - I am away from home at the moment and not on a colour corrected monitor - will look at this tonight.

Al, you really got a beautiful wing position here. Good HA and eye contact...good detail in the feathers. I checked the whites and they seem to be within the normal range but the ones right behind the eye and lower on the neck both look right at the edge of being blown.

You do seem to have a bit of a color cast...might check that in RAW and see if you can adjust that a bit. I'd also try smooting out/cleaning up some of the shadows and debris in the water - try a gaussian or surface blur and see if that helps.
