    Default Egret, twilight approaching

Hi all. Been a slow year for me but I'm currently looking back at some shots from last years many Florida visits. This Egret was flying across to a small island. It was in the shade as the sun was right down on the horizon, so the nearby trees etc where casting huge shadows. Normally a blue cast doesn't work on white feathers but I kept it here as a I like the slight glow of the feathers this light has caused as they compliment the subtle tones of the pastel coloured sky reflecting in the water.

    Richard:

I think the image works as a complete piece. Colors, softness, pose. I also think it would be even stronger in a larger size.

    Cheers

Hi Troy and thanks everyone for the comments :)

I'm pleased with this image and it's a good reminder as to why I look through the archives once in a while, as you never know what hidden images are sat there waiting on the hard drive :)
