Was wandering around my in-laws property when I stumbled upon this long spent bloom....dried up in the hot Florida sun. Just looking at it I thought "Mike Moats".....and how to look at things that may not be as beautiful! The color is close to what was.....even after a good deal of backing off the red channel. BG is a cloudy sky, I have a B&W version.....but prefer the original sepia toned look.
Canon 1D Mark lll with the Sigma 180mm macro at ISO 1600 at f32 for 1/125 sec HH.....natural light.

Very cool, Roman. nice lighting, lines, and tones. On my screen their appears to be a bit of lens blur................

It is so interesting, Roman! I do wonder if the "dot" at the center shouldn't be a little more in focus but everything else looks good so maybe just a tiny bit more sharpening? I'd also recommend cloning over that one bright line going across the furthest petal to the left - just grab a like color at 20% opacity and it will tone right down while still leaving the sheen.

Good eye on this one! I like it a lot.
