    Default Another IR - Composition

I took this on the walkway outside my front door. I have a bed with gingers and a small
crape myrtle whose branches were curving over the ginger leaves. I'm pretty sure I used High Structure in Nik Color Efex. Dave, I think this has more contrast - let me know what you think.

    Thanks for looking. C&C welcome.:)

After posting this, I think a slight crop on the bottom might look better.

This has such an Asian flair to it and I love it. The small OOF area in the FG is a minor distraction. A couple of bright white spots I'd tone down. Fantastic way to work an IR!!

Cheryl, this has a really nice "designer" look. I could see it being a really nice fabric pattern or the cover page of a menu. Very nice work!

A very unusual use of IR and not one I would have thought of but I really like the result. I agree with Kerry, a real designer look to the image.

My first thoughts were as Denise mentioned. If we ever bring back the Asian art theme, this one would fit perfectly. Very lovely photo and work!

    Nice image and application, Cheryl.

You seem to be getting into IR and enjoying it. Looks neat. Like the second one, but both are nice.

I really like the look and feel of this one. As mentioned, I too see an asian feel to the image. I like the IR work on this one and any more contrast would probably detract from the feel that you've gotten. Glad to see you having so much fun. Keep em coming.

Hi Cheryl, this does look like Japanese painting. I like it a lot specially your use of filters. Very unique way to looking at IR images.
