An interesting composition with very nice details in the butterfly. Lovely colors all around, too. I personally would try to do something to make sure the viewers focus more on the butterfly. But that may make it more my vision than yours.

Lovely colours and textures on the butterfly. And nice BG to go with !
What would you think of a vertical presentation (i.e. 90' CCW rotation) of the same ... ?

Beautiful colors and excellent sharpness on the butterfly. The partially extended feeding tube is a big plus. My brain is seriously trying to rotate this into a vertical presentation :) and I think this would work quite well as a vertical. I could also see, as an alternative, cropping from the left up to the middle clump of flowers which would place more emphasis on the butterfly. Well done.

Very nice image. I'd also be interested in seeing this as a vertical. Love the eye and nice focus on the wing.

Nice pose and beautiful colors! Perfect BG. I think that it works well also as vertical presentation, but I like Steve's suggestion about cropping the left side.

    Lovely butterfly, colors and BG!
I also think this might look better as a vertical with some cropped off the bottom, or left as it is now. I wish there was more DOF on this but maybe conditions wouldn't allow that. The OOF flowers and back wing are a bit distracting. You might try some selective sharpening on the flowers closest to the butterfly and the antennae.

Thanks everyone! i am definetely going to try the vertical presentation! I don't want to crop as it is already a 50% crop

    Hey Bob,
I was going to echo the crop.....saw your response so understandable! I do like the vert rotation idea......even if this was the way it was in the field! Nice light overall.

Second for Kaushik's idea. Pretty sharp for a 50% crop, love the colours.
