    Default Flowers

Made this image (few weeks back) during a hike in nearby mountains.
After initially jumping onto it to make some close-up macro images (the usual tendency of mine), I backed off and found the BG rock to be offering some nice textures and tones. A broader (wider) perspective such as this seemed to be an interesting choice.

    Techs:
    Nikon D90, 18-105
    f/8, 1/80, ISO640, hand-held.

    Views welcome.

I like the composition a lot, very nice flowers, sharp, the flowers really pop against the color tones of the rock. Very well done!

I would second Ovidiu's comments. This is a very nice image, Kaushik. Good thing you backed up to see the (slightly) bigger picture. :)

Great mood with this image. Textures and colors are wonderful. That lazy curve from the bottom leaves up through the rock adds a lot of interest to the comp. Nice grab, well executed.

    Hey Kaushik,
You did what I always recommend.....take what you normally do.....then explore the "other" possibilities! This turned out great!!!.....fantastic placement in the frame.....gorgeous light!....I don't even mind the brighter area of rock as it adds some depth and texture ot the overall image! Very well done!!!
