I agree about adding canvas in front of the bird but that's personal prefrence. The turned up head is nice (drinking I would assume). Are the whites a bit hot? I always have problems exposing this Duck. Love the low angle also.
Bird is sharp with very nice pose. To my eye it could use a CW adjustment and I'd tone down or remove the bright reed coming almost out of it's back. I'd also remove the OOF line in the LLC.
Nice subject, and I like the drinking behaviour. You got some nice green sheen on this fellow. Whites do look hot and may warrant a revisit to the RAW file to see if more details can be extracted there, and I agree the image may need some CW rotation. A bit tight in the frame - it needs more room to swim into, and perhaps less at bottom. These guys are very wary here and always out of range of my 100-400...lucky you!!
Thanks every one for your valuable guidance. I made this image at about 11:30 am so the light was very harsh & it became difficult to control the whites. I'll try to improve though.
@ Daniel sir,
These fellas are very co-operative here. I've seen them about only 5 feet away from me most of the time & that also in their normal behavior like preening or swimming. They never get disturbed due to presence of human (at Jamnagar). :)
