This is one of my favorite sunset images from this summer. This was to the northeast of where the sun set. 5D Mark II, f/5.6 @ 32 mm, 1/125, ISO 400 handheld.

Well done Judy. The V of the sunlite clouds frames well at the top and the darker downwards flow creates a tension with the brightly lite clouds. I also like that you minimized the water here.

Hi Judy, of all the sunsets you've shown this is my favorite. Rich color with alot of interest in the sky. I also like the fact you minimalized the water. The clouds almost look like an explosion which gives the image alot of impact.
    Well handled!!

Thanks Robert. I worried with the crop for a while but I think this is definitely the best.

Thanks Dave. Yes it looks like a fiery explosion to me too which is why I liked it so much.

    Hi Judy,
I mya have preferred to see the rest of the top.....but I know how that can be a difficult decision because you may have lost interest further up in the cloud........so overall......this one works very well as presented.

Thanks Roman. I didn't cut much off the top and it wasn't too interesting. I cut off more on the sides and didn't want it to look too square so I took a little off the top and bottom.
