    Canon 30D, Canon 400L f5.6, full frame.
    Looking across the Mississippi River into Iowa from Illinois.

    The small size doesn't do it justice.

    That's an impressive sight Dave. Must have been fun to be there. It looks like you did well with the exposure. I think you could improve the composition, if you're so inclined, by removing the flying bird in the upper right that has its wing clipped by the frame. Also the 2 in the top center that have their heads almost touching the frame.

    I have to agree about the clipped bird, but man what an impressive regroupement of eagles, quite a stunning sighting!!

    I know I should have cloned out a couple of birds, but I was going for the max. amount in the frame.

    Nice shot Davev! This is a hard place to put into perspective yet your shot really captures it well. Great work.
