    Default Bald Eagle

Captured this at sunset today. Had to break the rules here and move to almost a 90 degree angle to the light. Only clear view I had of him through the branches. I cloned out some pine needles that were protruding in along the bottom, but the rest is pretty much as is. No sharpening or NR (other than being saved as bicubic sharper for web posting). I think it's a bit dark on the body for my taste, but I like the light on his face, and the head turn.

Canon 40D, EF 600mm f/4L in IS mode 2, 1/400, f/5, ISO 160, Gitzo 5540 with Wimberley 2 head, light coming from the right.
