    Hi

    Caught this little chap using the wire fence as a perch on the RSPB Reserve at Frampton Marsh, Lincs UK

    F 5.6, 1/2000 , CANON 100-400 AT 400, ISO 400

    Rich:

    Good pose and catchlight.
    The light was very far to your right, and this has cast much of the bird in shadow.
    There is some noise showing in the background.

    In a perfect world, I would prefer a more natural perch. :)

    Hi Rich,

    Nice subject and good eye contact with a CL.

    I would go for something in between the two versions posted here, or only lift the shadows to balance the exposure a little better.
    Perch does not bother me personally.
