    This black-backed jackal was photographed in the Addo Elephant National Park recently and reminded me so much of a tame dog :)

    Morkel, love the light, pose and composition but it doesn't look sharp to me.

    Morkel, try a reverse s-curve to reduce the contrast.

    Nice light and scratching pose. It does look very relaxed and tame dog-like. I see the point about the reds...the repost is even redder (the original looks better colour-wise). I realize it is not always possible, but having moved to your right a bit would have eliminated the OOF plants in LLC and given more separation between head and rock.
