IMO OOF foreground provides good balance to the picture and at the same time place for virtual legs. If I take some off the bottom that will make this image unbalanced. Here is a sample with side by side comparison.
Hi Sid, the brightness looks fine on my monitor, I also prefer the original and really loike the nice soft light and the grass he is chewing on.

I am good with the OOF FG.
One thing to try is reducing the brightness of the highlights to get more details. See a previous thread here http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...inking-Giraffe for a process I recommended. Thanks for posting.
