    Default Peregrine Falcon - Portrait

    Hi There

Another shot in my quest for a closer one of a Peregrine in flight, ideally I would like him in a stoop about to strike some unwary prey with talons extended..... but in the real world...one step at a time :).

So this one was taken yesterday at the HCT the weather was pretty miserable so the sky blew out to white... but I was lucky to get a landscape format shot with the bird filling pretty much the full height of the frame... I tried various crops but thought a square one looked best.. again i would appreciate other points of view and comments.

With the all white BG of your photo, against the BG white of the forum, the square crop doesn't even register for me ... all I see is the peregrine (and a quite beautiful one it is too). Any other color for the forum BG and the squareness *might* bother me a bit. I was wondering why this was in hand of man, then I saw it was jessed :)

This one looks real good....and at ISO 2000 no real noticeable noise.....well done with that!!! The square crop works very well with this pose.....and what a wonderful view. I also like the eye contact that you have......he certainly is aware of you. I think you have done an outstanding job with this one.

Very nice job photographing this falcon! Hope I get the chance one day! Need to clean up a little along the top of the tail, and around the edges of some of the wing feathers - especially those at the very top of the top wing.
