    Default Great Crested Flycatcher

Had several good mornings with a pair of these. I located a nesting area and set up my blind on the edge of the very small "island" of woods they were using. They would work the edges and land on just about any perch there was. Made for some great up close work with this species.

    D300s, 600VR, f/6.3, ISO 400, 1/320th, taken while I was in my DoubleBull Blind

Hope you enjoyed, and as always C&C welcomed and encouraged.

Perfect pose and a pretty good perch. Sharpness and exposure are great. I might add some space in front, and maybe desat the greens a little.

    Well done!

Gorgeous colors and greta pose / sharpness.

Agree with Aidan that some more room in front of the birs would help and I would also desaturated the greens.

Absolutely first class detail in the bird, I wasn't there but Iwould suggest the green background is a little too saturated?
