Great detail and color on this, Don. The BG looks awesome!
The wing pointing directly at us is a bit problematic but otherwise it looks great.

Hi Don, very nice composition and great work on the background. I do feel that the colors are a bit washed out. I might add a little saturation or maybe even warm up the image a little by adjusting WB. You should have shot this at smaller aperture, the head looks a little soft.

Agree about the one wing being a bit too OOF but this is still an outstanding image. I do think you could get away with cropping down on the top, left and bottom to really give it a larger presence within the frame. As always - high quality work! You can tell you have a real heart for photographing these guys Don!

Excellent shot the only suggestionI could offer would be to consider taking a similar shot slightly to the right and perhaps the right forewing would not obscure the thorax area.

Beautiful shot. Agree with the others on the front wing position...other than that very well done.

    Hey Don,
While I agree with the near wing sentiments.......I also agree this works as presented. You know i love the crop tool:o......so many possibilities there.......but this is still and excellent shot with a killer BG!

You and the Dasher worked well together. I like being able to see the body through the wing. My attention goes right to the head. Incredibly smooth BG. I'd prefer more of a crop to allow me to focus more on the dasher.
