One of my first creations with new lens (400DO) and body (1dmkiiN). This was made in the very early morning light (hand held) at Wako. F4@1/395 ISO 250.

Gorgeous light and DOF. Very sharp.

Hi David, stunning is the first that came to my mind when I saw this.

However, OOF elements in the foreground, specially big ones, are somehow problematic because they are very distracting, as the case here.
Using the Burn Tool set for midtone and at a VERY LOW opacity, pass it a few time until you have tones it down enough and not jump at you.

That eye against the background is really killer!!!

    Hi David and welcome.

This is very nice, the colors and composition works for me very well. Like Fab said the exposure could be a little less or darker but that would be it for me.

Very cool preening shot. I think you could crop outt about half of the OOF foreground to make it a stronger photograph. Sweet light - a the eye looks so good with the illuminated iris!

Other than running some NR software on the BG, I like it as presented. Welcome aboard!

A very creative and eye catching shot. Possibly toning down the few brighter highlights in the foreground--but it is very nice as presented.
