    Sat with the sun in perfect line behind and waited for it to take off.

    spec: 1/5000, F 5.6, ISO 800.

    Mk4 + 500mm + 1.4TC

    Kiranbhai, you have timed this so well, that his feet havent even left the perch yet. I like the extended wing position, and good to see that lovely red eye of the black shouldered kite. Well captured.

    Man, that eye is aglow!! Perfect timing and techs. I only wish the one thorn didn't touch the bird's leg, but this is as good as it gets when it comes to take-off poses. Well done!!:)

    Sure do like this image Kiran! The eye contact is superb, as is the sharpness. The full-up wings look great. And the light is sweet.
